Sandrine Mercer

Sandrine offers a strong background in international business development, with particular experience in the telecommunications and Internet industries. She has worked for a number of American and European companies in these sectors, ranging in size from small, pre-IPO start-up to large global enterprise. These companies include WorldCom/UUNet, Cable & Wireless, Global Crossing, Deutsche Telekom, and Telseon IP Services. She has also worked in Germany for the international industrial company, Liebherr GmbH.

Sandrine represented these companies to major foreign customers at business development meetings in over a dozen countries from Europe to Asia. She has developed business plans that target priority sales opportunities, identified and negotiated with strategic partners, and conducted due diligence. A key part of her approach has been to develop strategies for extending corporate market penetration internationally through reseller agreements.

Sandrine has also directly sold a wide variety of Internet and telecoms products and services to companies both internationally and domestically. In doing so, she has interacted closely with major telecom carriers and satellite providers in order to develop effective solutions for her customers. She brings a strong reputation in sales and business development, having set numerous sales records and having won top awards and recognition for superior performance.

Sandrine’s business development experience also includes organizing corporate participation at international conferences and trade shows. She has conducted market studies and product research as Assistant to the Trade Commissioner of the French Consulate in San Francisco, and has had her reports published by the French government for use by French businesses in seeking international trade opportunities.

Sandrine speaks fluent English, French and German and is studying Spanish. She holds two graduate degrees (Maitrise and Diplome d’Etudes Supérieures Spécialisées) and a bachelors degree, with honors in International Business and Marketing from the Sorbonne in Paris. She also holds a bachelors degree with honors in European Politics and Economics from the University of Manchester in England.
